Dinner with the family
Trig and his party waited until darkness had fallen, and then made their way to a small, out of the way food establishment. Taking a table near the back they quickly ordered food. The waiter keep espousing the “Duggarian Stew” as the best meal the establishment had to offer. The waiter even mentioned the chef was an Ithorian, so Trig could trust the food. As Trig and the party placed their orders, it quickly became apparent this was going to be a large, expensive meal. The Ithorian chef came out to meet the party spending so many credits — and almost immediately began insulting Trig and acting as if Trig knew him.
Trig was baffled by the chef until he finally placed him as third cousin on his mother’s side who had also be banished off planet. The Ithorian, Duggan, realized Trig was not wholly convinced, and brought up some shared experience from when they were younger. Duggan seemed extraordinary happy to met up with Trig. The reason for his happiness was obvious when he offered a business proposition to Trig.
Intrigued by Duggan’s secretive manner, Trig listened intently. Duggan was proposing that Trig hire his crew out to a “new jacker” who was going after something on the downed Imperial Star Destroyer, the Ravager. Duggan explained it was common knowledge the jacker was after some secret hidden aboard the ship. It could be anything from new tech, to guns, to secret data. Duggan’s plan was for Trig to get hired on, and after the new guy got the data, they would turn on him and steal it for themselves. Duggan knew of people that were willing to pay major money for whatever they could bring back from the ship.
Realizing the Jedi Davin Darklighter’s mission was now known amongst the underworld, he told his cousin he would think about throwing in with him, but secretly decided to tell Davin as soon as possible of the danger. Plus, while Trig would have not thought twice about pulling off the scheme Duggan suggested, he’d already made a deal with the Jedi, and his own business ethics would not allow him to renege on the deal.
Trig talked it over with party and they agreed they should tell Davin, but they would also insist Davin tell them more about what he was after. With that resolved, they decided to leave at first light to get to the space port as early as possible to keep their 08:00 meeting with Davin.
They left early the next morning, and cautiously made their way to the space port. Rishna noticed they were being followed by two Jawas. He decided to hang back and attempt to spy on them in order to see what they wanted. The two Jawas proved easy to follow and Rishna was able to find out they were after some artifact that one of the Togorian’s had. Rishan warned the party of the Jawas following them and with his help the party was able to ditch the Jawas and make it to the port. .
